Tell me I'm not the only one who's amazed that they actually gave their magazine this name...
You got sole
Groovy!
I <3 markers
Maybe I've missed it before but this letter I received today from the tax company (sigh) features a fudicial marker. Wonder what kind of info is linked to it... What do you think?
Oberon
Oberon(.nl), Internet marketing company in Amsterdam. I was here today for some final negotiations before starting to work here.Addition 27 okt 2006: I've followed my intuition and chosen not to work for Oberon. I want to focus more on the mobile market than Internet marketing. Nonetheless I have much respect for Oberon, very friendly and professional people.
Gotcha!
Ladies and gentlemen, meet my new buddy the Nikon D50 dSLR camera! Just got it yesterday and I'm so happy with it! Much thanks to my parents for the graduation gift. They got me a Tamron 18-200 zoomlens and it's just awesome! Check my Flickr for pics, the first are up and there more to come!
So close, yet so far...
See that brown box in the back? That box contains the Nikon D50 my parents are giving me for graduating from Interaction Design. I knew they received it today and decided to pay 'em a suprise visit but they're not home. This pic was taken through the kitchen window. I can see it... It's right there! Oh, woe is me!
Realtime raytracing
Ah the lovely Sonsbeek Park! Used to take many walks here when I was writing my thesis but one should take a stroll here every day just to clear the mind. In the summer you can also come here if you want to get laid, but trust me it's not the kinda sex you want.
Finally some love on the walls
Having a spot of spare time these days I decided to throw some pix on the wall. If you're in there somewhere, you rock \o/...and if you're not on there yet worry ye notte, I've only just begun sticking things on the wall :)
Shitty iconography on ATM
Who can intuitively say which way to swipe your bank card through this thing? The lady in the store said "Just hold the magnetic strip on the side of the picture" :) She actually believed that that was why the icon was placed above and not below the slot. Interesting take though and whatever logic works, works. The designer should get beaten with a stick though :)
Give em a hand, here's what they take
My dad had a tiny tiny cyst removed from his pinkie and this is what he came home with.
We won!
The seemingly impossible has happened, we won our soccer match! Now we're... eh we're still in last place but the beer tastes so much better! :)
Cafe Vrijdag rocks
This cafe in Arnhem attracts primarily artsy fartsy ppl but nonetheless a good atmosphere. Hope this free advertisement gets me some free beer :) (beware of Leffe Blond, she's a deceptive mistress let me tell ya....)
Knock knock...
Guess what these lights at cafe Vrijdag remind us of *teenager giggle*
Better than defragging
Ye olde laptop's been heating up like a nuclear power plant lately (my friends know the embarrassing hurricane-like sound which follows!) so I decided to take a look under the hood. Hope I get it running again.
Alcoholic healing
Drinking a beer with Martijn and Franklin. Martijn recently broke up with his gf so some company is appreciated. But let's not forget that beer is never a bad idea. Ps: Franklin showing the massive tutorial book for the game Oblivion.
There she blows!
Power supply on our new microphone. A curious choice of interfacing in choosing between 110 or 220 volt huh? Seems they could've disambiguated it a bit better. BOOM! :)
Sunday, deep-fry day
Ah, the great Dutch tradition of chucking all sorts of crap into boiling oil and... well, eating it. Yes with mayo, not with ketchup.
Barman
Once again in our beloved The Move cafe.
Who can resist
The Move is one of the few bars in the Netherlands that has an official Hoegaarden beer dispenser. We like coming here :)
Homies
Chillin' in the Move
Castaway
Lost the cast on my middle finger today. Finger's still a bit swollen and mainly really unflexible. In a way losing the cast is a real loss, it was an excellent coversation starter which proved particularly useful at the crossmediaweek last week. Transhumanism as a social tool...
Producer picture
Bas and I posing as a hip producer's duo :) In fact we put on the suits for a scene of our friend Daan's graduation film.
